As to even consider becoming a search and rescue dog owner I actually need (ahem) human search and rescue training, I've located the local search and rescue group and am devouring their website. I'm such a newb (I haven't camped in years), I'm more like the people they rescue than the reverse - but I'm young, pretty strong and healthy, like hiking ( Read more... )

The meeting was REALLY fun. And despite the fact there was a 25:1 ratio of men to women, the two women there were great. I am SO EXCITED!
