Last night I couldn't get any sleep, I was so badly in need of an after party but seemed that none of those I know weren't, or which is worse they might have even found a new place to get bored in, instead of the semi-hideous Edison that is (the place we use to go after Dynamo gets closed). I felt rather pathetic wandering around there, so I came

One reason I enjoy travel so much is that it is a good way to wake oneself up. Being exposed to such different perspectives of life and the world situation is always--in some way--raw and abbrasive. In the developed world it is all too easy to make everything seem smooth to the point where trivial problems become mountains and motivation for larger goals becomes difficult.

I'm very much looking forward on the flight to India, not only because of the greatness of seeing Juho again but also because it'll be my first sight of a developing country. About time, as I've been travelling around Europe for the whole of my life and visited your homeland as well.
Any trip to a foreign country works as a wakener, even if only by bringing some perspective to your personal life. So I'm eagerly waiting for some kind of a shock or off-cave event this time :D It's so easy to hide from your thoughts here, or drown them in those loads of minor mountains you described, as funny as it is it's a puzzle-minded species, this human.
Not that the plain pondering of global trouble would help, but keeping those matters always present in mind might help in the daily choisemaking.
Take care and keep your eyes open in the future as well, and please share your wise thoughts!

But you are right. Asking questions is important. We are connected with everybody elso here on this little planet. Climate change is something REALLY to worry about. It feels extremely wrong having 15 degrees in the end of November. We can do little things. Saving energy. Using the car only for really necessary tasks...
I guess travelling to India will give you some valuable insights.
And Juho´s photos are great! I am using the wonderfully composed pedestrian-subway-photo as a desktop motive at my pc at work! ;)

And little things are the start indeed, as we are the lazy asses we are, got used to our routines. The only activity needed is the one to change the routines, then we can be lazy and comfortable again - and still wasting less.
I'm SO looking forward on that trip, aaah! Tomorrow it'll be only a month to go before the leaving. GREAT! And such a brilliant choise - my desktop looks the same ;D and you know there's one more common friend of ours that likes that pic a lot. Naturally. :)
