3 Eastern jobs complete
Well.. it was actually completed about 3 weeks ago, but works just been crazy so I never found a nice little slot of time to update this.
My thoughts on Samurai:
I had a blast leveling this job to 75 even though it was a fairly cookie cutter DD job in terms of equipment builds, and job role at 60+, but being able to tank in the 30's and 40's made things interesting for sure.
One strange pattern I noticed was that a lot of JP's likes to invite Sam's to their party's; and the reason I say this was because out of all the times I get picked up by a JP party I've searched the pool of seekers and always notice there are other JP DD's seeking, but they just weren't Sam's. The only conclusion I had was that a lot of JP's consider "Samurai" a prestigious and honorable job, so they like to invite them when they see one seeking. Of course I could be completely full of it.. since I spend a long long time seeking to get this job to 75. But I would still say that about a good 70% of my invites were from JP's.
SE designed this job fairly well in terms of new JA/WS/Gears you get as you progress to 75; which kept me interested and always looking forward to the next level. Memorable things like: Hasso, Seigan, Meditate, Soboro, the last 3 "real" WS, and of course now my favorite weapon of all time Hagun. One of my favorite moment which made me fell in love with this weapon was when at level 72, the 2nd time I closed light with Hagun, I hit a Toad in Mire for 1400 Kasha, and a 2800 light. I know that number isen't the norm, but it felt damn good hitting it once in a while.
Future Plans:
For the time being, I think I'm going to just finish both Bst and Rng to 37, and then do a combo of finish meriting Sam, level Whm, and Bst to 75.
I'm choosing 2 jobs to level next because I know Bst will take a lot of patience and sometimes I probably won't have it for this job, so Whm will be a nice balance.
Samurai merit wise, I know I don't have the right gears to ever achieve the 6 hit setup properly with the Haste I like to have, therefore, I've already put enough merits in Store-TP to achieve a 7 hit without any store-TP gear, so I just need to finish Meditate, and Overwhelm, which puts me at 24 merits needed, which really isen't so bad.
