So with some down time before the Ranger job adjustment update I thought I try to level Blue Mage some more, if anything at least to 37 for Drg subjob

I actually kinda thought that the fact that BLU had go out and learn new spells in obscure areas was kinda a daunting task and takes time away from exping to do. As a result, I kinda thought it was more of a hindrance more than anything else. I guess I'm not that much of the "adventuring" type:p
I thought the exact same when I looked into the BLU, but after learning a few cool spells, it became very addictive to me.
As for Ranger, yes even with the new adjustment/additions, Ranger is still not what it used to be back in the old days, but I'll take what I can get from SE at this point.. /facepalm Wish I would have leveled this job before the big Nerf.
actually, I think it is back to what it was in the old days now. The only difference I think that it is an illusion: the fact that other jobs have been getting so much stronger makes it progressivley weaker. Back then, no one used haste, and breaking 1k was amazing so sidewinder was revered. Nowadays, 1k WS's are common which kinda breaks the view of RNG being strongest. I don't remember how much I used to do on kirin, but I don't recall doing much more than I am doing today.
It's the same thing with the 2 hand update-- Adaberk ridills didn't get weaker, it's just that everything just got so much stronger.
