Okay.... so dropping forty pounds does come with a new mindset or should. I haven't really gotten mine all the way yet though. I knew I lost weight, yes. So I crossed my fingers and made myself a pattern size smaller then I usually wear thinking between the weight and the corset underneath.... this should fit, hopefully. IT is something! Eight is better then nothing when your trying to lose. I am hoping to keep going myself. Even if it gets a bit harder to do it. I am hoping that it won't though.

Yeah... I took a good hard look at it and with all the tucking and such I would have to do.... it would look, odd. All that nice topstiching threw a kink into my plans. But that is okay. Cause corset tops don't take long to throw together and I have some really great ideas for the new pattern as well. One requiring a trip to the hardware store even. It will all work out just peachy.

Woot!

Ugh, I am not looking forward to the mountain of alterations my Pennsic garb will need this year. Granted this time last year I was lamenting the fact that I needed to construct "fat garb" so I can't be too upset.

You should post pics of the construction. I love reading project journals and seeing things come together. So many people have no idea jsut how much is involoved in putting together a whole costume/look.

Congrats on the forty pound loss! And maybe you can sell the big corset top? Sad to see it go away, but money may help out that pain, right?
