Sabotage

In addition to switching to decaf, I am under orders to cut my consumption of that due to the fact that it still contains caffeine. To this end, I brew my own delicious coffee at home in the morning and bring it to work in my to-go mug and a thermos. At lunch time I take the mug and thermos home and don’t bring them back. Way to ruin your own scheming, Val. I think that's kind of what happened to me when I "gave up" pop for lent, and then decided that meant I could still drink diet pop.

How would diet-pop be allowed when you were giving up pop? Was it because it has less calories? I am failing again right now by drinking more lounge-coffee from a Styrofoam cup.

I guess it was because it was diet... and it had either no sugar, or no caffeine... and that meant that it was not bad, as much, or something. I probably should've picked either sugar or caffeine free, but eh.

Diet usually means 0 calories. I think caffeine free is different, and while diet is technically sugar-free in most cases, the sugar is usually replaced with sacharine or aspertame. If I spelled those right. Either way, they are lovely chemicals that some people react negatively too. Not me, and apparently not you.
