No, self, you do not need to look up the SAT recentering tables to once-and-for-all see how you stack up to your RP character.

...yeah, okay, too late. I blame stopcountingNor does the fact they're about the same mean you should have retaken the darn thing after finding you'd made at least one "what the hell was I thinking" error. (Yes, I was enough of a ( Read more... )

SAT recentering tables? I haven't heard the term before; what are they? Does it have anything to do with the fact that they've revamped them at least a couple of times over the past couple of decades? (FTR, I took mine... just a little longer ago than you took yours, and my understanding is that the one we took was considered "harder" than today's version.)

Just because it'd be nice to be 17 again and have summer vacations...

Man, I so hear you on that. And winter breaks, too. *Waxes nostalgic*

I rarely ever have RP-related dreams, or if I ever dream about them, there are only bits and pieces interwoven into them. That does sound hilarious in post-waking retrospect, though. XD

(But... actually, if time weren't an issue, I think you'd make a splendid NPC mod. :D )

Yeah, the recentering was when they made it easier in 1995 -- I was in one of the first groups to take the "new" test. Scores went up a substantial amount. I'm not sure the term got used much outside that particular change -- but I was applying to colleges in the middle of it, so everyone when talking scores was asking "recentered or not" because lots of both were flying around.

The tables were just a "score X = score Y" before and after. I was surprised they were so easy to find, actually, but I guess people still use their SAT scores if they didn't ever go on and take the GRE and want to go back to school. Or something.
