There was discussion on plurk of baking. I am not typing recipes in commentboxes, and besides, I had most of these typed up, and the rest I'd been meaning to move off shreds of paper into digital form. Baking is really pretty easy -- you just have to follow the directions faithfully -- when measuring dry goods, actually fill the spoon/cup and then take the back of a butter knife and level it off without smooshing stuff down in -- just sort of skim off the extra. (Or do what the non-USians do and use weight measures for everything, which is a lot more accurate, but all of my recipes (and my kitchen) are in US measures.) Etc.

And starting with recipes that have explanations for all the techniques. If you do decide to make any and have any questions feel free to ask -- I'm sure there's technique stuff I omitted because my mom taught me when I was tiny and I forget not everyone knows. Like adding the "room temperature" note at the top at the very end.
