So, a bit back,
lady_angelina lent me Ghost Trick (and Trace Memory, but I haven't gotten to the latter yet), and I finished it this morning.
Review contains spoilers for the first few minutes, game themes, gameplay, and for one plot point which is reasonably early on; it does not contain any for the big endgame spoilers.

And yeah, I thought the gameplay was a refreshing change from the typical adventure game fare. Of course, some of the puzzles didn't make much sense in a real world stance, but then again... these are the same creators of the Ace Attorney universe. XDI have to admit, some of the plot twists, especially the one at the end, I didn't see, although there were certainly the clues scattered about. Oh, and the partway-in plot spoiler? If a pet dog sacrificing itself for its owner's sake will bother you, this is not your game.
I would add to this that what with Sissel's ghost tricks, it's not as big a deal as it might otherwise be.
