It appears that as of 5:30 this evening I no longer work for my current company.

I am now working for the good folks who purchased my former company's clinics.

Tis true. If there is one thing my previous employers apparently strived for was to ensure that all current employees remained employed. They felt this was a better option than just closing all the clinics and telling us we were unemployed.

This may be a very good thing. It sounds like mismanagement and micromanagement were a serious issue for previous company, so you might get lucky with the new one.
