I saw Annie for the first time in 25 years last night at Allison’s and Phil’s house. I loved it super much as a kid. When I saw Allison put the dvd on, I thought would want to make fun of the movie and my 8 year old self

I know I "liked" this on fb, but I just want to reinforce just how much :) I know a lot of people make fun of it, but there was some serious talent in it. It's because of this movie that I love Carol Burnett, Bernadette Peters, Tim Curry, and Anne Reiking (and in-turn, combined with my early dance classes, everything Fosse). It probably was also the first movie where I felt an appeal for "the bad guys". Now the songs are going to be in my head too, and I totally don't mind.

Someone at work was talking about his son being in the Annie play, and I asked what part he was playing. I was so excited for him when he told me he was playing Rooster!
