So, Keane has realized that this is very much a case of the consequences being more than enough punishment for Don to not add anything more to it. Furious as he is with Don, he can't help but admire that he figured out the plan and managed to turn Banner against him

Oh, I forgot to mention, but if you look, the last scene took place on Thursday, the day where everything comes to a head. It is the day the last part left off on. The final scene is actually the start of a scene that will span 4 chapters.

Broken, perhaps, but definitely still kicking. I've always seen Don as someone who, if he needs to go, will take as many of the baddies down with him as he can.

This had just the right amount of Don- angst and Don- stubbornness/ defiance...

Only 6 more chapters? The Muse will need to be activated for a through sitting- down so that the wedding fic will be done in time :)

Yay! Yes, there must be at the very least some Don!stubbornness in any whump fic. He wouldn't do anything else.

Yes, 6, well, at least that's what I got planned so far. We'll see what happens on the plane. It might still either grow or shrink. Hence the reason I've not yet replaced the ? in the subject line of the post with an actual number.

I should've done that with my fic, too, because I reduced the number of chapters from 13 to 12... ;)

And yes, it is the stubbornness that is prevailing Don from going crazy. I'd say...
