I was hoping people would like Billy's appearance. He's my second favorite character and I like to include him where I can. With a fugitive in the fic and the Don-Billy-Frazer brothers backstory, I figured now was a good opportunity to bring him in.
And, yeah, Don has more than a few issues and it's gonna be a long amd difficult road to recovery. But, yes, I do see Billy being there to help Don for most of it... starting with the macho stunt Don's gonna want to pull, and who better to help him but Billy?
Billy and Alan will have scenes together, but it'll be more head-to-head than heart-to-heart. The first one because of the shock of it all for Alan and the need to blame some (and hey, it is Fugitive Recovery related so who better to blame?) and the second... well he'll have his reasons for that. Read: macho stunt ( ... )

Anyway, I have been lurking on this story over at fanfic.net. I thought I would delurk and tell you how much I appreciate your storytelling. You write all the characters so well. I can tell you put a lot of thought into your portrayals.
Looking forward to the next update.

That's exactly what I was hoping for, for it to make sense and fit without being to easy or predictable. Billy is still in Fugitive Recovery after all and having brought Frazer in the last time, it would be natural for the new people to talk with him. Why redo all that work at the risk of him being free longer?
Yeah, Don's recovery will be long and slow. Especially the psychological side of it with the knife phobia. He's taken the first step, though, and admitted he'll need help. What's not so good is that he's gonna try the next step without Bradford and Coop being the enabler that he is, won't be the best influence either.
Gotta love those macho guys sometimes.

Yeah, I was toying with the idea and mentioned it to aleo_70 and that started a discussion which solidified the idea. Still not 100% on whether or not Alan will walk in on it yet, but I think so.
