Oh no! That's horrible. I'm so sorry. As for the dog, it might be sad, but I think you made the best choice, it's just not worth the risk, not after what already happened.

Yeah, there's Billy-Don stuff, 'cause I love those two characters (my fav two in this show!) and their interactions. It says a lot that Billy only appeared once and has been present in fic ever since.

And yes, both Frazer and Keane got off better than they deserve, but think, from now on Keane will know what Don felt about knives that made him flinch in the first place.

As for Don in the ambulance, you're close, not quite right, but close. Think of something a little more along the lines of skin and the breaking thereof...

Aw, poor Billy! Talk about an emotional wringer.

And I totally think Radovic went upwards with the knife, to inflict more damage, because he had to go in below the vest initially.

Yeah, I think perhaps I should have listed it as Don Whump & Charlie/Alan/Billy Angst.

:)

Hmm... I just don't see that movement in the action sequence, do you?

And would he need to go below the vest? I thought I heard once that Kevlar wasn't very good protection against knives as it wasn't designed to stop them.

I would say from where we saw the scar start (going from the bottom upwards) it had to be below the vest and upwards. It starts next to his belly button.

You can actually buy anti-stab vests, which are what you're more likely to see being worn in the UK, because knife crime is more common than gun crime, unless the officers are firearms officers.

The FBI are definitely going to be wearing Kevlar though, which is not effective against knives. But if you look at the caps on r_morrow_daily from Hangman and look at any picture of Don in his Kevlar, I think it went under the vest and up. Or maybe in at the bottom of the vest and up, depending on where the vest ends.

Shame the scene is so damn dark, so you can't really tell!

(I work as a civilian for the police, so I have some knowledge on this subject)

Aw, man! My poor boy. :( Hope you can put him back together again. I mean, not too quickly or anything...:)

Lol, I can just feel the concern from here!

And, no, not too quickly at all. That doesn't happen with this type of damage.
