Well, here we go, the final cliffy of this fic.

As for Don with the knife here, well, I did say he was gonna pull some macho crap regarding his new found phobia of sharp things. Besides, with Billy there, how was I to resist letting Don be Don?

Yes, there will be a hell of a blow out between Alan and Billy in the next chapter about this. And poor Don won't come out of it too easily either. His finger is on the blade here when his father startles him...

Also, as you may have noticed, I've concluded that there will be 2 more chapters to this fic and then it's done (just in time for NaNo too!). I'm not yet sure if chapter 28 will be a full length chapter, but we'll see.

I hope you liked some of the backstory for Blakely given here. I've got a lot more in my head, but the Bureau can't know all of it or he'd be behind bars already.

Sheesh, Alan has bad timing. Very Bad Timing. Although of course, Don is stupid enough to push instead of taking it one step at a time.

So it's all drawing to a close! Looking forward to what comes next :)

Oh, yeah, very bad timing! And the lack of foresight andor ability to keep his mouth shut given the situation he's just walked in on.

As for Don, yes, it's stupid, but Don really would push things. He'd never be happy to take things one step at a time, not when it comes to something like this. He needs to take control again and this was the only way he show how.

Oh, for crying out loud... Alan, I love you and all, but could you not have waited a couple of moments?

This might not help Billy's position in Alan's eyes, I'd guess, but am probably off the mark... Anyways...

This is soooooooooooooooo Donnie/-y to push himself to the brink just to get over this, before he probably should... After all that he has been through, he needs a bit of rest... But this is one part that he can control, on the other hand, and I reckon Don does not feel very much in control at the moment, so he is seizing this opportunity to overcome at least one of his demons, and the most damaging at that...

This chapter, once again, was made of win... Billy's pov is very powerful and honest and I am falling in love with him more and more every line... :)

Hee hee, no, he couldn't have waited, nor could he have kept his mouth shut, not with what he saw upon entering the room. Don't worry, I'm sure he's gonna regret it later.

Oh, no, it most definitely won't help Billy's position in Alan's eyes. And just after Alan had to start admitting to himself that the man might not be quite as bad as he'd always assumed. He had just saved Donny after all!

Nope, Don doesn't feel in control of anything just now and you're right, that's exactly why he pulled this stunt. He needed to prove something to himself, that he really could get over this. That the possibility, the chance, was there.

Thanks for the nice long review!

That is so typical him, very protective and thus also a tad bit on the blind side... On the other hand, I think everybody would've reacted that way... Still... ALAN!!!

Yay, more angst potential for Don and Billy then in a way if the tension ricochets up a notch :D

And now it is taken away from him again, though this time from someone he loves, yet still, he is powerless to control anything right now... Poor thing *pets*

Always a pleasure :D

Yeah, I do believe most people would have reacted like that. Still, he could'a been a tad more careful with his response...

Lol.

Poor Donny is exactly correct. I really put him through the ringer here, didn't I?

Yeah, he's gonna, a bit at least. Exactly how much will depend on what happens right after. Like whether or not Alan or Billy tries to make a grab for the knife...

I don't know!

This is all aleo_70's fault. I knew what I was gonna write and she had to go and suggest something else in her beta reply e-mail.

*head-desk*

And so help me if I don't like it.

Poor Coop. All well intended, he still can't win a trick with Alan. That was a really nice, introspective scene, something I'm especially partial to.
