I went to the war to get a break from the fallout from my Dad's passing. It was a really good idea. I had a blast and, even though the reality of what was going on in my life hit me a time or two (Sunday morning was really hard for some reason) I needed the trip. I wrote about the fighting at SCA Fighter, but lots of other cool stuff happened.

Gunther got a call on the radio from the site owner asking if we wanted a bear.

You have NO idea how envious I am. I got bear meat once, from an Asian market here in Boston ($14 a pound!), and it was the best meat I have ever tasted.

To eat it at an Antir-West war with a bunch of friends...awesome.
