Five Question Meme

Mar 02, 2013 18:09

How this works: Comment with your favorite color and I'll respond by asking you five questions so I can get to know you better. Update your journal with the answers to the questions. Include this explanation in the post and offer to ask other people questions.

1. Of all the icons you’ve made, which is your favorite blue one?
Well, apparently I don't make many colour-coded icons, or at least not many blue ones. ;)) I went through all my icons and didn't come up with very many suitable candidates (and, wow, some of my old icons are pretty bad :">).

I think this one still looks pretty sharp,

but it's technically only half-blue, so on that technicality, I'll produce another one.

It's blue-shaded, so that counts, right? (And shading and wording was about all I did to the base by wunderkind_lucy, but if we keep counting technicalities, I could go until I ran out of icons...)

2. What was your favorite part about self-defense class?
I like being prepared for all sorts of things, so I loved learning all the moves and the underlying fundamentals, and then being able to practice it all. And it was also just a really fun class. :)

3. Which Jane Austen character do you identify with the most?
Hmm...well, I really like Anne Elliot. She works quietly a lot and doesn't really like being the center of attention; she's smart, sensible, considerate of others, and longsuffering. She's also able to admit when she's wrong, and refuses to give up on what she knows is right, even if it's hard. I'm not saying I have all those qualities, but they're ones I certainly admire and hope to emulate at least some day. :)
Then again, sometimes I do feel rather like Elizabeth Bennet when I'm around my sisters, especially when something dramatic or ridiculous is going on. ;))

4. What is your favorite tea (or other hot beverage)?
I usually just drink black tea, but I'll sometimes have mint tea, which is also quite good. If I'm in the right mood, I'll have some hot chocolate or apple cider, but I'm not too adventurous with other teas. ;))

5. Which Narnia book is your least favorite and why?
That’s a tough one. I think I'll have to go with The Last Battle---when I was younger, I really didn't understand and thought it was just horribly sad and depressing. Now that I'm older, I understand it more, but it's still very bittersweet and I have only read it a couple of times.

Bonus Question! :D (Yay, and it's a wonderful one!)

6. If you could tag along with any literary detective who would you choose?
Ooh, good question! :D Of course Sherlock Holmes is very brilliant, but I don't think he'd be fun to tag along with. Generally speaking, Poirot and Miss Marple, seem to do a lot of thinking/observing and not need much outside help, so I'd probably just be in the way. Tommy and Tuppence are hilarious, but they work together very well as a team, so I couldn't see there being much at all for me to do. I know there are other detectives (particularly in children's stories---Nancy Drew, the Hardy Boys, the Three Investigators, Henry Winterfield's young Roman detectives, etc.), but I'm going to have to go with Lord Peter Wimsey (surprised, anyone?). ;)) He's active enough that he often has tasks for people to do, and even if he didn't, he's humourous and I'm pretty sure I'd be kept in stitches hanging around with him. And, if all else failed, he has a very nice library that I could hole up in. ;))
