Stealing from
ladyadeone! :)
(Oh, also note that all books mentioned also have authors mentioned, but since I wrote this in parts, the authors don't necessarily appear the first time the book titles do.)

Hm. So you don't like Code Name Verity? What don't you like about it?
I see now where your comment about Heyer is coming from! :P
The Elie Wiesel books sound pretty intense. Does Dawn have a happy (or semi-happy?) ending?
Euripides' Medea?! Wow!

Hehehe...everything? :P I found the first narrator incredibly annoying and aggravating and I couldn't empathise with her at all, the twists seemed more "Haha, gotcha!" on the author's part than "Oh...that makes sense!" (...so, not like MWT's twists), the second narrator was better but still not particularly engaging/likeable to me, and I have some major bones with the ending. To be honest, the person I felt the sorriest for and was pulling the most for was the female Nazi interrogator/translator, which...well, I'm conflicted about. ;)) If you want a spoilered account, we discussed it a few pages back on the Books thread and both Mel and Gymmie gave some refutes so that balances some too (which I still need to go back and discuss :">). I guess, have you read it, or just heard about it?
;)) Glad you can see my beef with Heyer!
They were pretty intense. Em, no, I wouldn't say Dawn has a happy ending. I didn't like ( ... )

I'd love to hear what you think of it when you do! Was one of the quotes particularly intriguing? ;))

Probably! But then, it's Chesterton and he's almost always worth reading. :)

;)) That is true. At least most of the time...
