Redecorated Eleven, Clara, Tentoo/Rose, PG

"I just want to grab some things from home." The idea of wearing shoes left behind by other people made Clara cringe. The Doctor said that the TARDIS supplied them, along with an entire wardrobe. Whether it meant they'd always been there, abandoned by others, or had somehow magically appeared brand new, she didn't know, but she wasn't interested in taking the chance. She looked up from where she was inspecting a strange, circular pattern on the console to see him looking at her. "Stop pouting, it'll take ten minutes. I'm coming back."

Her reassurance brought the grin back to his face, and the Doctor pulled one last lever. "Home sweet home." he told her, sweeping his arms in front of him to usher her out. The faster they got her things, the faster they could continue their adventures. He'd tried domesticity before, mild and short-lived as it may have been, and it wasn't for him. He wanted nothing to do with her family or the incredibly welcoming feeling of her home.

The sound of the door swinging open was followed by a short giggle from Clara. "I wasn't aware I lived in the woods." she said, holding both doors wide open now so the Doctor could see outside. As he made a move to step away from the console to follow her, he briefly heard the cloister bell followed by a grinding sound, a distinctly not good sort of noise. "Oh no." he muttered softly, flinging himself back to where he'd been. The lights on the console had dimmed and no sounds followed. "What's wrong?" he asked, his gaze travelling up the time rotor until he saw through it that Clara had gone, leaving the doors ajar behind her.

"Doctor, come look!" Clara called without taking her eyes off of the little shed in front of her. She ran her hand over the front door, the same shade of blue as the TARDIS behind her. It was small, but looked fairly well cared for. There was something off about it, though she couldn't put her finger on it.

"Clara, step away from it." He could hear it, the soft humming, the faint song it was emanating, he could feel the tickle at the back of his mind as it tried to link itself to him. There was a small panic rising up in him as he imagined who it could belong to. He risked a glance over his shoulder toward the TARDIS, but it was just out of sight. "That's not a shed."

"He's redecorated." he announced, the distaste clear in his voice, a fondness underneath regardless. They slowly made their way around the console, his free hand lovingly stroking every bit he could reach, just wondering how it'd got there, if she was alright from such a stressful trip, remembering the last time they'd made it. "I don't think I like it."

Tugging on the hand she had grasped in her own, she pulled him gently to a stop, stepping forward to rest her cheek against his chest, nestling into the soft jumper he'd chosen to wear today. They were so caught up in nostalgia, neither of them noticed the soft breeze flowing into the room, picking the hem of her dress up to flow around her thighs, lifting up the ends of her hair. "I wonder if that's all he's redecorated," she mused aloud, her fingers trailing over the Gallifreyan symbols on the screen they'd stopped beside, the only thing on in the room. "or if he's done himself as well."

The sound of someone clearing their throat broke them both out of their reverie, causing them to turn to the open door. The girl leaning on the door frame had her eyebrows raised, just watching them without looking nearly as alarmed as either of them thought she should. A man appeared from behind her, walking a few feet inside, and stopping immediately at the sight of them. "It just so happens, I have."

Rose Tyler, her hand still clasped tightly around her Doctor's, a ring settled upon her third finger, and the Doctor in the doorway, his hands adjusting his bow tie, smiled brightly at one another.
