So, I've just completed two weeks of full internship.  And I survived!  A miracle!  So, I will now be in the school five days a week until May 14th.  I have their breaks, ect, and one class on Tuesday nights.  I also will be in the jail every Monday night to work with my domestic violence group.  And Tuesday and Thursdays I will be running the ( Read more... )

Holy crap. I was gonna call you yesterday and from this post, I really should have! I might try today...

Yeah, today's youth is crazy. Quick question: what age group do you have? Some students have issues, lots of issues. I've never had a chair thrown at me. That's...yeah. Your a-hole supervisor doesn't have that kid, does he? If so, I feel bad for the kid. I did not hear about the lamp thing, no. At least, I don't think I did.

Have fun being in 5 days a week! Good times. When's your spring break? They STILL don't know what's wrong with the knee? GRR on them! That sucks big time. I will send good thoughts your way! ~good vibes~

I hope things go well and feel better! And hopefully talk to you soon! *hugs*

The chair thrower is 11. A bit old for that, I think, but whateve. He doesn't see anyone for counseling...at this point...

Overall, I work with K-12 graders. My caseload, though, consists of a 17 year old girl, 14 year old girl, 11 year old boy (not the chair kid), a 10 year old girl, and a year old girl.

My spring break is March 5th (friday after classes) until March 14th. Technically I'm at internship during these days, but I have no students around. So, showing up for a weekend would be awesome!

Good luck with the knee! I feel as if my long ago injury is to blame; after that, I've heard of a pandemic of knee injuries. I can't help but feel somewhat responsible....

Today's youth (and I'm extending that to the age group with which I deal) baffle me. They travel in pods, have yuppy hissies if a cafe is out of decaf, can't remember what cars (yes, that's plural) they made out in the night before, and talk on cell phones while walking with their friends.

Children. None of it makes sense.

But I hope things get better! You'll have to give me a call sometime and catch up!
