October Rust 2005 Theme Suggestions!

Planning for Rust is in the initial stages. One of the first things we need to get decided on is a theme. This is where we need your help! Please post a reply with a theme suggestion. Used themes include: Monster Ball, Fetish Ball, Black & Blue Ball and Vampire Erotic.

2.Fallen angels or just "Fallen". . . I think it's self explanitory
3.Eden's exile. . .vampires, snakes, Lilith, wee bits of shrubery perhaps

I really like "Fallen", or "The Fallen", as a theme.

Something mixing in a dark fey theme might be cool too... The Unseelie Court or the Goblin King's Ball.

Heh. I'm operating on sleep deprivation too. I doubt my ideas are much better. :-)

Thank you for the very creative suggestions! The only problem I have with themes like “Fallen” is that they are too vague or too generic gothic-type for most people. A theme such as “Vampire Erotic” at least tells the friend-of-a-friend to come as some kind of vampire creature. We know you club regulars will dress to impress, but it’s the partier that wouldn’t-normally-go-to-these-kind-of-parties-but-was-talked-into-it-while-drunk. I’d say we are looking more for a theme with a telling title.

Thank you for the suggestion! ...but see my reply above. Again, I like it, and were this a weekly goth club, I would go for it. However, I find it too vague. I can already envision people asking me, "How do you dress for Dark Harvest?"

Flower children ; everyone dresses in bright colorful clothing. Tie dyes. Cheesy protest songs on acoustic guitar. That sort of thing.

Send in the Clowns ; oversize black and which clothing, fuzzy wigs, size 25 shoes, and big round fake noses.

Adamites ; Really back to nature, clothing strongly discouraged. Body paint optional.

Strangly enough, every party seems to end up as you describe Adamites. =]
