Whilst £12.50 is relatively steep for one night in a tiny tent, it is a genuine bargain, compared to a night in a Travelodge building site or skip!

Biting invertebrates are nothing if not persistent - and deer in the vicinity bring their own varieties of biters, in addition to any resident parasites - I doubt they are at all discriminating about the surface they land on, as long as the proboscis can reach through fabric into tempting skin.

30 is heck of a lot for a night in the woods!

Hi Ben! Deer => ticks, and I am morbidly afraid of ticks. If the non-ticking biters can get through my defences, I will be forced to immerse myself in sheep dip next time :-(

I hope you are both well.
