Resume: without a lot of experience, I'd suggest a chronological resume for your first. Pick out volunteer jobs or short jobs and outline the responsibilities you had in a skills kind of framework.

And I say go for French. I regret not paying attention in my french classes growing up! Plus useful when you go to french restaurants ;)

Oooh, all right! And how do you think I should mention my study abroad experience? Thanks for the help! :)

French it is! If only for ordering food. I find that to be the most important >:] Would you say the pronunciation is fairly difficult? Not sure if I can do the whole nasal-y thing, haha. Once I start taking classes, I'll come to you for help and maybe it'll refresh your French! ;p

Yeah I think your study abroad experience is a great thing to put on your first resume. You could list the type of skills you picked up being in a foreign country, or how it helped your communication skills... be creative! Really think about how all your experiences shaped you and what transferable skills you got from them.

Nah I don't think you'll have a problem with the pronunciation. I don't think its crucial for understanding. I haven't taken french in almost 10 years now ahhh! I know more German than French now, actually -.- btw if German is an option, it's really easy (except the genders for nouns, there are 3 compared to 2 in french) but its sooo similar to English, it's crazy.

Thank you! Your advice is very helpful :)

Oooh, you know more German now? Cool! I'm not sure if it's an option or not, but I'll look into it. Thanks!

These are tips for writing resumes in general, which are to an extreme degree for like work applications. I have the same attitude for unpaid work as paid work though ( ... )

hahaha, after listening to your reasoning I was swaying towards Spanish, but then I read this comment. Everything voided! I'm going with French!

THANK YOU so much for your tips! I'll be sure to do all these things. Really appreciate you sharing all your knowledge! :)

I guess I'll have to stop answering my phone with, "'Sup, playaaaa?" :( Although it is in an enthusiastic and confident manner...

Ok so here are my thoughts: I bought a gel/cream eyeliner that comes in a little pot and use a tiny angled brush to put it on. It's really easy compared to liquid and the line looks a lot better than with pencil (and doesn't poke :p)! So here are some options ( ... )

Oooh, no poking you say? Sweet! I will definitely be going out to CVS the next time there's a coupon haha. I think I'll try out the maybelline or loreal - whichever's cheaper at the time haha. Do you have any application tips? I've heard that pulling your eyelid taut is a no no, right? @_@

I think I'll only be willing to splurge on the MAC versions once I'm better at it! haha. Which brush are you using btw?

Thanks for all the info!! :D

:D No poking, no tugging! Glides on in short strokes.

The thing that bothered me about liquid is that my single eyelid immediately picks up the liquid when I blink after putting it on :/ But I think gel/cream is better in that respect.

I heard that the L'Oreal one dries out quickly, so I got the Maybelline one.

The brush I'm using is from a set, but as long as it's a small brush with a good handle it'll work! Those L'Oreal and Maybelline ones come with little brushes, so you can always see how you like those before buying a separate brush. The Maybelline one was pretty good actually, but the handle was a little thin (i guess you could wrap something around it hmm)

Woo!

Glides, eh? I will be sure to practice this technique. Thanks! :) Oooh my eyelids do the same when I blink, although I think for me it's from blinking too hard haha. I blink funny XD

Hm, I see. I guess I'll be trying out the Maybelline one, then~ x]

Oooh, that's right, I forgot you got that super awesome brush set XD. These brush prices are pretty cheap, so I'll probably nab one with a thicker handle. Thanks thanks :)

ooooooh, i know how the resume/cover letter business goes - i'm trying to get a new job right now! i'm an exec assistant/hr assistant/event planner/20 other positions, but if you'd like, i can take a look at your cv/cover letter and give you my 2 cents? ^^ not sure how much that's worth... (oh yeah, about 2 cents.)

also, i can't live without eyeliner. my fav daily/casual one is revlon's colorstay eyeliner (the one where you have to twist it, not sharpen it). i vaguely remember liking mac's as well, if you want something a little fancier.

hahah omgoodness stef, you're some crazy jack of all trades! once I've gotten my cv written up, it would be much appreciated if you could give it a look :D thanks for the offer! I'd love your 2 cents, plzzzz. so where ya trying to work now?

oooh, thanks for the eyeliner rec! I might purchase that for daily use~ I have a problem with eyeliner smudging, ending up beneath my eye, and giving the impression of a black eye, haha. I blink too hard?! idk!

oh snap! ilu for getting your license a year ago <3 how did you go about it btw? like... do I have to get my permit again? hahah. oh god, I'm sure you understand, I'm terrified of driving XD. it's to the point where I think I should just move to a city that relies on public transportation XD
