I have more of a stupid/lighthearted question for you guys:

Why is it so common for people to lower their masks to try to hear better? I've noticed a lot of people do it, and then get embarrassed when they realise, and I'm wondering why it seems so instinctive to want to do that?

Any ideas?

Всё просто - при опускании маски тесемки сильнее оттопыривают уши.
