To the best of my knowledge Nordskogen's 12th Night has not been designated the "Kingdom 12th Night", nor has it ever been intended to be the "Kingdom 12th Night" or any "Kingdom" event of any kind. I am really at a loss as to why I keep hearing this from various people ( Read more... )

More food for thought: If the confusion is due to it being held on the second weekend of the month, why isn't the same problem happening with the other 12th Night happening out in the Dakotas this _same_ weekend?

Because no royalty is going to be in Schattentor, they'll be at the Nordskogen 12th Night, which lends weight to the concept of that event being a kingdom 12th Night. Right or wrong, that's probably where at least part of the thought is from.

I find that amusing especially considering the fact that Northshield has NEVER had a Kingdom 12th Night and that the royalty goes to other events without causing this confusion.

I really do think it's the 2nd weekend stuff.

Of course, the Royals would have to abstain, if it were at a Dry Site.

I'm trusting my memory here...which isn't always a good thing, but...

I seem to remember hearing the term "Kingdom 12th Night" (refering to Nordskogen 12th Night 2007) coming from a Kingdom officer. Therefore, I'm assumed it was discussed or mentioned at some level somewhere.

But I do agree that to my knowledge it has not been officially announced as such my the Royalty.

They can't unless we say we're turning it into a Kingdom event, which means the profit goes to the Kingdom. A) Norskogen doesn't want to turn it over, and B) hands off our cash, man! :) :P
