The ValleyScare rehire letters were sent out a couple of weeks ago. For some the planning process begins long before the rehire letters are sent out in late July, for the rest of us, the rehire letter is the beginning of the journey toward Halloween ( Read more... )

I do not find any info on Valley Fair site for the Scare. Can you direct me or answer the hours and perhaps pricing. Specifically, Oct 19th, 2013. THANKS!!

In the past the website valleyscare.com would become active in the weeks prior to the start of the season. Not sure if/when that will happen, and if it doesn't, I couldn't tell you why. All the information I have is the same information you can find on the Valleyfair website: https://www.valleyfair.com/halloween

Bummer. I really enjoyed your blog on haunts the last two years. Very disappointed its going away!

While I have little to write about this year, I'll find something to inspire me, I am certain. I was tempted to pen a comment or two about opening weekend at ValleyScare last weekend, but resisted the urge.

As for Arizona, I know nothing. I have limited knowledge of the Vegas area, and that's it. Thanks to the Yelps and Tripadvisors of the world you can get some decent reviews of haunted attractions all over the place. Sites like hauntworld.com will help you find options as well. I have yet to determine which is the preeminent resource for haunted house listings.
