A Day To Remember

Driving East out of Signal, Ennis disappearing in the rearview mirror, Jack thought to himself, “This is what it’s like to feel your heart breaking.” On this summer day, the worst course of events that Jack could have imagined had unfolded:Joe Aguirre had slammed the door to Heaven shut, and a glum, inscrutable Ennis had shrugged farewell after ( Read more... )

“Good Lord, another beauty…what in hell is goin’ on here?”

right on! revenge on JOE! loved how he "...drove backwards in a furious cloud of dirt and gravel..." heh. smiled so many times with this, and the notion that the two of them are back together again is way sweet... i can hope that the heartbreak that lay ahead isn't for certain, can't i?

Well you naughty boy: Actually, I haven't posted this piece yet on brokebackslash as it's awaiting "beta" by a pal who has been out-of-town over the weekend - but it should be up soon. So, you're one of the first to read it, I assume, and I'm glad you enjoyed it.

This is intended as a one-shot, so the heartbreak I'm referring to is the heartbreak in the real Annie Proulx story (even though this piece veers off from her storyline).

I'm glad you're keeping in touch - as I am also looking forward to more work from you! (Where did you get that hot avatar?)

I found this after reading the piece you just posted on Brokeback Slash and I really enjoyed it! *Love* how they meet again thanks to Aguirre and, like gnashsang, hope this doesn't have to end badly -- it has all the makings of a nice canon!AU. My one question: could they *really* spend the night w/out fooling around? :-) Lisa

Hello Lisa: Sorry I'm so late in responding to your comment from last July! I forget to check comments left on my journal (yours was about my story "A Day to Remember.")

You asked if the boys could really spend the night without fooling around. Why you naughty little nipper - Ennis and Jack are upstanding young lads! Of course I can't positively guarantee that something didn't take place in the midle of the night.

Thanks again.

Jeff

Hi

Just read your other piece in BBS. This was great also.

Loved how Aguirre got them together again.

Nice little deviation from the original.

Thanks
Julie

Hi Julie: I apologize to you too for being so late in responding to your July comment about my story "A Day to Remember." I tend to forget to check for comments left at my LJ.

Aguirre got a bit of a comeuppance in this, didn't he?

Thanks.

Jeff
