[For people in CH 3, you might be bewildered to find a body on the stairs between the fourth and fifth floor, sprawled out in what's obviously an uncomfortable position. The main portion of Sora's body is sort of turned diagonally and sprawled out relatively spread-eagle, one arm halfway underneath him, his head furthest down the steps and face

[What a coincidence! Riku was just about to head out as ewll, but, wouldn't you know, his best friend happens to be out of commission! Naturally, he's going to rush over and see what's up, immediately looking from Sora to Ted. Before he says anything, he pulls out his journal to contact Kairi, and once that's done, he approaches Ted.]

What happened here?

[Kairi was upstairs in their apartment, but as soon as she hears Riku's slightly distressed voice, she's running out of her room and down the hall to the stairs, entering the stairwell and finding Sora passed out and Ted and Riku standing over him.]

Whoa! [Running down the stairs to join them.] Guys, what...?

[Action -> Voice//private to Xion]

[Having already found Sora unconscious, Riku opens his journal and immediately tries to contact Xion.]

Something's happened to Sora.

[ it takes Xion a few moments to respond -- she was simply off doing something away from her journal.

coming back to this makes the very core of her go cold. ]

... what's wrong?

He's unconscious, Xion. Not only that, but nothing's waking him up.

[ oh, god. this is it. if Sora's asleep, and he's not waking up...

she's got maybe days left to live. at most a week. and it's so much sooner than she expected. there's just a long moment of tense silence on her end. finally, numbly: ]

[ after Xion's talk with Riku, well ... devastated would be a mild word for her emotional state. she hasn't even been able to leave the apartment -- she hasn't got the energy to try to run away. instead she's in their living room, curled up on the couch with her knees drawn up to her chest, looking kind of dazed.

but just glancing at her and you can tell something is deeply wrong. she thinks she should leave, get away before Axel and Roxas find her, but ... but somehow, she just can't find the energy to care. ]

[Well Axel and Roxas aren't even aware of what's happening just yet, seeing how they've been out this afternoon. Roxas opens the door first and enters the apartment, talking to Axel over his shoulder briefly before facing forward and spotting Xion. He stops suddenly and looks her over, knowing that look. That's not a happy look. Uh oh.] ...Xion?

[Axel is about to laugh and give Roxas a playful shove but stops when Roxas stops suddenly there in front of him. Confused, he follows Roxas' line of sight and seeing Xion there it's not hard to tell something really bad happened. He has a feeling he knows what it is too, but waits there behind Roxas for Xion to answer.]

[ Xion just stares blankly in their direction for a moment, almost like she doesn't see them at all. Then she gives her head a gentle shake, and her eyes actually focus. But once they do... she can only look at them for a moment before she has to look away again. Her voice is very quiet, even in the silence of the room. ]

Sora fell asleep and won't wake up.
