Just over 2 days to go
Well here it is the 27th and I am not done with my NaNoWriMo novel yet, though I am close, in fact I have less than 5000 words to go. Part of me says to just stop, that it doesn't matter. I am sure that is just laziness talking, especially now that i am so close to the end. I should be done with it by Wednesday night or Thursday if I keep up my ( Read more... ) -
On, or slightly ahead of, schedule
So far so good for me in this years NaNoWriMo. As of now my word count is 17577, I have only been writing on weekdays and by my calculations there are 22 weekdays in November this year so that would mean an average of 2273 words per day that I write. Since there have been 7 weekdays that would mean I should have written 15911 words to be on ( Read more... ) -
B Movies
I recently restarted my Netflix account which makes me more likely to watch movies that I kind of want to see, but I know won't be "good" movies. This does not mean that I think they will not be entertaining, but they are not something I really want to spend much, if any, money to see. Taking a break
I am taking a break from writing, I'm about halfway through what I need to write today to be on schedule. I'd prefer to get even more done so that if I do lapse I have a buffer, but still need to take some breaks ( Read more... ) -

It's midnight now, November 1, NaNoWriMo time.
Alright it's go time. 30 days to write me a novel and this year I feel like succeeding again. Luckily my classes are done so I will that time to write without giving up other time, unless I want to. That's a good thing about liking to write.

I am a geek
I feel very qualified to say this for a HUGE number of reasons, for example I <3 Java and even the Java class. So much so in fact that I am pretty much looking for ways to make my final project more complex... despite this being the final week. Second, I bought a CCG game for the PS3... and it makes me want to buy more cards... MtG syndrome. ( Read more... ) -
Just under 9 days 11 hours to go
It's almost NaNoWriMo time again, and I've been looking forward to it. I have an idea I think I can actually finish this time unlike last year. In fact I have a synopsis of the idea that is almost 22 pages long, and is over 13k words. While I still am not convinced of the need for someone majoring in a computer related field to be versed in developing nations and cultural diversity I believe I have come to the real crime of this system. C'est la vie, and hopefully I didn't mess that up too bad
So it appears that the state of Michigan has a serious budget issue, though as far as I recall it seems as though we have been at a huge deficit for many years. Still this time they have still not come to an agreement on a budget, and so there is the possibility that that come the end of the weekend the government of the state will, for all ( Read more... ) -
Ah classes again
Today is officially the first day of my classes for this term. It appears that i will be somewhat busy for the next six weeks between the two classes. I spent yesterday setting up a Tomcat server on my Linux box, though I do not know if I will have to set it up on the laptop too or not.
