haha! dead poets society was the first movie that ever made me cry. i'm such a sucker.

I made a hazelnut gateau breton one time but it was a little too dry/dance.

god this lady gaga song reminds me of shitty dance clubs in europe and i love it.

I absolutely love that movie. We had a teacher like that at my high school, and when we graduated, everyone in the Honors class stood up and said "O Captain". Not a dry eye.

I remember in English 121 at Mott Community College having my professor mock Dead Poets Society as fluff and then point to me and be like, "am I right Vinnie?" and me say, "Still haven't seen it."

Still haven't seen it.

You're right, "Dead Poets Society" is a great movie. I can't tell you how many times I've watched it, then gone out and done something ridiculously romantic and crazy. It always turns out badly for me, but I don't care. I've seized the day and that's what counts.

Peter Weir was/is obviously an Orson Welles fan. The cinematography throughout the film is distinctly wellesian. The shots of the boys running through the trees at night are right out of "Chimes At Midnight." Another great movie, but much different than DPS.
