hey, I'd like to hang out sometime. It would be cool to see you.
... I recently found out that the argument we had was invalid. We were arguing about fair trade coffee and Starbucks. The protests of maketradefair.com and oxfam (one of which I have donated to in the past) were about the copyright of the names of the coffees that come from Ethiopia. I did some research and found out that Starbucks buys a lot of fair trade coffee, in fact, more than any other company. So, protesting Starbucks on the point of them not buying fair trade coffee is fairly moot. The argument is about whether Ethiopia should have the right to trademark the names of the coffee so that it can make more money. In that case I would have to say that it's a fairly even issue. A company vs. a country in a debate over a copyright for names of coffee that have been used for long periods of time. I believe at that point one would be choosing a side because of how it looks.
Anyway, neither of us were right because we weren't even arguing about the correct point. E-hug?
