I don't "chat"

Dave shake_it_up  just posted about something that happened to him online while doing a chat session. It reminded me once again of one of the many reasons I don't chat online. I don't like "chat". Every once in a while I attempt it and after a very few times I rediscover why I don't like it.

I should be honest here. I'm not really even thrilled about talking

You're welcome. I know I'm not the only one. That's why I'm here. I'm not online anymore looking for hookups. I just like interesting people. And I find more here than I've found elsewhere.

I'm not much of a talker, either. You've met me, so you can bear witness to my quiet personality. Sometimes I worry that people think I'm being rude. I'm glad that others feel like I do. Facebook sounds like a noisy world of hurt where your forgotten past slaps you upside the head. No thank you.

Actually Tom, you can be quite the talker. As long as you're interested in the topic. And you're also quite interesting to listen to. I agree with the other comment; that's a great statement.

Thank you. I don't care that sites are hookup sites either. It's just that I'm not interested. So I'm not on 411 or biggercity or any of the other sites. When I go out, I'm always surprised on how shocked people are that I'm not on one of those sites. Or even Facebook. I may put together a FB site again (I deleted one a couple years ago), but it's only going to be to keep track of business and family.
