Performance Enhancers...

Sep 24, 2005 13:49

In modern athletic competition, the use of performance enhancing steroids has come to be frowned upon. In professional leagues, in the Olympics, and even in minor leagues and school leagues the use of steroids can lead to grave consequences - even to the extent of abolishment from the given sport. First off: ewwwwwwwww. Second off: isn't the tolerance to pain what's being put to the test? I mean isn't that the only factor that would prevent one woman from taking in more cock in such a situation?

then again it might be dangerous not to feel pain. what if someone fucks a new hole into her. she should be aware of that.

agreed! If she was out of it, she might leave something in an orifice and not realize it

It is in my experience that art created under the influence of drugs is never the product of talent or thought, but rather of chemicals and mind-altering states. i feel that this degrades any piece of artwork, no matter how good it may be simply because it is not from the artist's own mind or creative exploration ( ... )

I think I agree for the most part with you. The only think I disagree with it is that the just because an artist uses drugs, it doesn't mean the art itself is bad...but you can't really give the artist total credit for making or thinking it up. To me it doesn't discredit the art, just the artist :)

And thanks.

very much agreed. i think what i was trying to get at is when the art is openly praised for being the product of drugs, it just isnt as good in my eyes. like, for example, one of my favorite pieces is a Hoe lithograph that i bought many years ago. If the artist had actually made comments about it referring to any sort of drug association, i just wouldn't of liked it as much and probably not have bought it (or haggled myself way down). i'm not sure why, i think its just instinctual. But it also definately puts a different twist on the artist themselves

Yeah, I see what you mean - how the artist's intent affects the viewers perception of the art itself.

i think the only reason i'm so against the drug scene is because i lost a very close friend after she smoked pot then decided to play chicken with a car at night.

Another very close friend of mine is permanently paralyzed from the waist down by a man who was high and hit her car head on

sure we are guilty of our own personal stimulants, but there are a million natural stimulants that won't result in injury or death.

I agree, stimulants should not be deemed as detrimental because they can both help and hurt - they make us who we are - but drugs that inhibit our sense of right and wrong or inhibit our senses tend to lead to tragic endings.

I do think you pose some interesting points, I just don't see why so many people think that drugs enhance...they might speed things up (i.e. let you bench 350 sooner or nudge your mind to unexplored frontiers) but I don't think they can take you anywhere your mind or body couldn't already on their own. You get there faster but enjoy the ride for less time and then don't know how to get back by your own means if you wanted to.

And sure, I'll add you.
