but sometimes they need to stretch the skin out if it doesn't fit, which he had to do with mine both times (this is my second microdermal in my sternum, pierced by different people though), and so they stretch the skin out with a taper i believe, idk i wasn't really looking haha, and then inserts the jewelry again and voila. it has holes in the base of it so your skin grows through it to make it stay in place.

what does a sternum microdermal look like anyway? and can you explain the process? I've always wondered how they get shit under your skin like that.

basically the piercer just lifted up my skin, put a punch in to make a hole for it, then inserted the jewelry, which looks like this: http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e271/psychoticzoo/ears%20and%20piercings/jewellery/IMG_4109.jpg
