Tumblr, really?

You know, I've never really used Tumblr. And I only now realize that there is obviously a max wordcount on comments. Why would anyone do that? I really don't appreciate being told by a social media site that I'm too verbose.

I just continue on in a new comment. Twitter is the same way, only moreso. :P

Nah, I just can't be bothered, honestly.

I never used Twitter for that reason - and obviously steered clear of Tumblr as well. Never could see the rationale of having to post one comment after another in order to say everything properly rather than just use one longer post. Waste of time, if you ask me...

Yeah, same here. Never saw the appeal of Twitter either. And I'm not particularly enamoured with Tumblr.

I must say, I'm constantly in awe of all the writing advice floating around on Tumblr. Those posts are all very wordy and they come across as very academic. And then it's a collection of fifty synonyms for "say". Guys (and gals), you don't need to write blog posts about something as basic as that. Just use a Thesaurus *eyeroll*.

What I'm trying to say: I'm not the right clientele for that site.
