well, heres the deal. i had my surgery. tonsilectomy and thyroidectomy. the cyst that my dr found was larger than my thyroid itself and he found a smaller one underneith that. part of the glad was removed. im healing fine and all that. now for the kicker. the cysts, under further testing, were found to be cancerous. i dont remember what kind of

i'm sorry. that's terrible. do you have to do any other sort of therapy (for cancer) after you get the rest of your thyroid resected?

Oh sugar...I know how it feels when you learn that some damn medication is going to dictate the rest of your life....but hey they caught it...right? You're getting a handle on the situation and it's not worse. Even if you can't join the Air Force you can still make a wonderful life for yourself babe. I can relate to the disappointment but just know that you arn't alone...I'm always here for you no matter where here may be!

Wow, I'm sorry to hear all that, you'll be in thoughts/prayers. As for the Air Force, once you get all the surgery taken care of, you might still be able to join... I dunno, they have waivers for everything. I knew I guy who got in on a morals waiver. (he had three felonies in his record)
