well, so far this year totally sucks. i get cancer, i have surgery, twice, and now i am recovering....again. my last surgery was on tuesday. im doing ok, better than the first one. ive gotten flowers and a great big teddy bear from my really good friend. so im doing ok. in a few weeks i start radiation therepy and then thyroid medication. but its

Papillary carcinoma *flips through reference book*
Most common thyroid cancer, predominantly in women, esp. with a history of exposure to ionizing radiation.
It just means that you have a cancer of the thyroid gland cells (rather than other supportive cells in the thyroid. It is papillary (looks fingerlike in section under the microscope) and it looks sortof like follicular carcinoma (but isn't) which is an entirely different type of thyroid cancer that has a worse prognosis than yours.
