Confessions of a telly addict...

This is my deep in depth review of the thankfully now finished Torchwood: Pants - nothing made sense. Continuity was unbelievably bad and the acting and writing was so shocking it was hard to care about a single character. Also, after 10 excruciating hours, I have no idea what the big tongue through the centre of the earth was. I reiterate - PANTS ( Read more... )

David and I have come to the same conclusion (about TW and Spooks) I decided they were either going to kill Harry off in the first epi or the very last one.

I think Harry is the main character for this final season so they can't kill him off to the end. I really want him to disappear into the sunset with Ruth but either he or her or both of them are more likely to disappear into the depths of a deep fat fryer.

He's going to get the deep fat fryer and she'll go all postal and blow up MI-5 with an innovative use of household implements, thus ending the series with a bang (sorry for the pun)

First she'll have to reveal that she isn't actually Ruth Evershed but Colonel Gadaffi and has been selling secrets to Wikileaks for decades. And then Tarik will have to log into the CCTV cameras and use non-existent CGI techno babble to get to the bomb before it blows up. Only he fails and gets blown up with Dimitri and the new useless woman. The End.

I totally agree about Doctor Who. I think the reason I keep watching is because I actually like Matt Smith's Doctor. It's just everything else that is tediously dull. What a shame he's wasted in Moffat's Who.

I loved Dr Who as a kid and I kind of fell in love with Christopher Ecclestone's Dr. David Tennant was okay and the show still very watchable. But, like you, I find the current stories either silly or dull. Matt Smith is okay but he doesn't excite me (but then DT didn't either).

I agree re Torchwood, Treme and BE. I'm on the new US season of SoA so will not be saying anything that might spoil you. *G*

Though I do respectfully disagree about Dr Who. I love Matt Smith's Doctor and I think Amy, Rory and Riversong rock like rocking things, so I'm still enjoying it very much!

Glee I think I may be breaking up with. It annoys me they spend so much time focused on 2-3 characters when they have so much more to play with. I may watch the first few eps but if there's no Mike, Tina, Mercedes, Artie or Puck centered eps then I'm gone.

I can't help being bored by Dr Who, I want to enjoy it - I just don't *shrug* It maybe could do with more Daleks :)

I'm looking forward to the young northern Irish lad who's going to be in 7 eps of Glee. Glee is such a light show to watch, I find nothing really much to attack it about - except maybe the OTT kudos given to the cover versions over the original songs (rarely are the covers a patch on the originals).
