I'm going to go out on a limb here and say, I'm not bothered by the LJ changes. Losing a header I never used and getting icon pictures instead of a drop down title list when leaving comments doesn't seem that big a deal to warrant all the fuss.

Am I missing something?

I think to some extent it depends on how you use LJ, how disruptive the changes are. It seems to be negatively impacting communities the most, and I hardly ever visit any.

For me, I like having images for my icons, but I need them in alpha order as they were before. This new way makes it much harder to find anything, as I need to remember key words for search, rather than just being able to scan an organized list.

At the moment I cannot change my icon at all, I click on the links to do so and the box turns red, that is all that happens. I also have to type a comment out, copy it, press refresh, paste it and then post, because as soon as I start typing the 'post comment' box greys out and I cannot click on it :(
