I follow the icanhaschzbrgr lolcats RSS feed (amusing cats power the internets, don't you know) and I've noticed that the trend seems to be for these flat-faced tiny-eared kitties. Call me picky, but those cats look dangerously interbred and are seriously un-cute - what's the attraction?!

I think they're super cute! But I also think those weird golem hairless cats are cute. I think 1) I find it appealing that they're unusual looking and 2) anything that emphasizes big eyes or big pupils or makes the eyes look bigger (like tiny ears) reminds me of kittens, therefore cute.

I just can't agree on either this type or the hairless cats. Both breeds look mutilated to me. But I'm glad there's someone who loves them :)

Genetically speaking, they're probably better off because pale-furred cats are very suceptible to skin cancer on their ears and may need to have them amputated. My friend's cat looked much like that picture after its ears were removed due to cancer. And at least their faces are not as flat as those Persians that often have breathing difficulties, now they are horribly inbred.

Then again, what do I know - I also think those hairless cats are adorable (mainly because I'm allergic to cat hair so they're the only ones I could really have long-term!) I really want one that I could put little knitted jumpers on in the winter... ;o)

But this one is not cute, just as those hairless ones aren´t. Ewwwww.
Me likes "classic" cats, spesh those British Blue ones and kittens are sooooo cute! :o)

Kittens (and baby bunnies) are the cutest thing in the world.
