This says it all for me. I've been waiting since the 80s to make it come true ...

Watching all the tributes on the news this evening is going to make interesting/sickening viewing. I'm going to be on hypocrite watch for all those pretending to care when they hated her when she was alive.

The usual phalanx of nauseating American conservatives are creaming their pants today about how wonderful she was.

I shall have my sick bag to hand. I think I'm going to need it.

They're at it right now. Yeurch!

And I can't believe we have to fork out for a state funeral.

At least Channel 4 News is giving both sides of the story.

Every time I see a link to some celebrity's reaction to her death, I'm terrified to click on it in case I find words of support from someone who I previously had respect for.

There were some cracking arguments on the BBC news this morning - they were interviewing a Tory boy and a Labour boy in front of the Houses of Parliament and it very nearly descended into bitch-slapping and hair pulling! Add to that me jumping up and down and bellowing at the TV whilst gesticulating wildly with my bowl of Weetabix and it wasn't the gentlest start to the day. D (who is terribly apolitical) was extremely bemused by it all...

I've had 2 people unfollow me on twitter because of my views and had a bit of an argument with the woman I'm going to Singapore with as she's a Thatcher supporter (which is bizarre as she's Dannish and too young to have any first hand experience of the woman's policies - go figure).

Luckily, none of the few celebs I follow (except Jenson Button but then he advertises Head & Shoulders & Vodafone so what does he know) have come out in support of Thatcher. It just shows I follow a load of lefties or people who have been badly effected by her disastorous years in power.
