Hmm. So MiA wasn't as brainwashed as he appeared to be. That's good, I guess. I have a feeling this isn't the end of things by a long shot, but I'm intrigued to learn about Tsuzuku and his friends.

MiA is smart enough to survive in this new world, and will do so by any means. This is what Meto picked up about him in the previous chapter, and admires. So no, he was never brain washed, just doing what he thought was best.

I planned this cliffhanger right from the moment I started writing. Made sure a chapter ended with that exact line. I'm just mean like that.
