Good news and bad news...Part 2
Bonjour! Ca va?
So it's been a while since you've heard from me (what a long two weeks it's been, n'est ce pas?) and I've missed talking to you guys so...that's going to change as of today. So, to my news:
The good news is... I'm going to be back writing full time.
Bad news? I left my job.
I know it seems like a short time and it's only been what, a month? But from the first week I realized that all wasn't what it seemed and I tried to stick it out as long as I could and would've tried longer but circumstances arose where I just said "screw it" and got my ass out of there as soon as I possibly could.
Long story short: It's a dog-eat-dog world out there and I am not mean or bitchy enough to compete in it.
Don't feel bad for me though. It wasn't a job I personally pursued and I think that was part of the problem. I only took it cuz they offered it to me, not cuz I wanted it, so though I tried to motivate myself to like it, the enthusiasm just never came. I'm a little irritated and pissed at some of the things that went down but I learned a lesson if nothing else: don't settle and follow my instincts. If my inner voice is telling me to run, I need to listen to it a lot sooner. That's a bad habit I've always had...not listening to myself. Eh well. You live and you learn.
Anyway, I had already started writing Chapter 4 of Save Me last week so I just need to finish it up. I'll try to do it today but if not, it'll be up on Monday (you know Sunday is a no-fic day).
