Hello part two of my spring break adventure! I've been procrastinating this for so long. Why, you ask? I really don't know; stop asking questions and see the good that is the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History.

SMITHSONIAN DRIVING!
Dan <3s tunnels, really. He's excited.

Why hello rather large totem pole!

HUUUGE Elephant in the middle of the joint. Gorgeous. I <3 elephants.

I really took this for Annie, but dammit it's adorable!

Fennec. had to. shut up.

prehistoric sea turtle. humongo.

Prehistoric sea creatures that probably haunt my dreams if I could remember them. Still fascinating.

the first known horse.

Hi. I'm saber-toothed cat. I can rip you apart. That is all.

fuzzy elephant. mammoth. you know.

GRRRAAAARR LAND BEFORE TIME!

it's all the dinosaur I could get. =(

we also learned about Pangaea, space, and earthquakes&volcanoes! nerds.

Dan was uber nice and took me to see Lions in 3D at their IMAX theater. AMAZING. I was shaking from the cuteness the whole time.
in honor of the lion cuteness, here's a painting we saw:

that a 17 year old took; HEYO!

here's the hope diamond! it's much prettier in person; the camera really can't pick up it's color...it just sort of looks black.

but here's a crazy beautiful sapphire.

BIRTHSTONE!!
might I mention that emeralds and rubies are gorgeous, as well.

We probably spent the most time learning about/looking at the gems and minerals. I took pictures of my favorites.

nerd.
hey Dan. please touch.

I...don't even know. Amazing.

big & little beautiful

my favorite was probably the GIGANTASAURUS amethyst.

hello beautiful.

after Smithsonian adventures, we walked to the Washington Memorial, since I've been to Jefferson and Lincoln. On the way, we saw this fool, who was making music with this stuff.

and it sounded spectacular.

waaao! and if you look closely to the left, you'll see the limo and the white thing in front of the tree? a chick in a wedding dress. republicans?

after the seeing Washington, Washington; 6 foot 7 weighs a fucking ton, we decided to go on a food search. Search failed, but we did find a cute circle with GORGEOUS trees.

I'm proud of this picture. gorgeous. shut up.

so...I'M not colorful huh?

basically, Spring Break was wonderful. I saw so many amazing things and learned a lot too. AND had lots of laughs with this one:
