I'd say dont go to short. You might cry when you see all the hair on the ground...or do it gradually maybe? I was thinking of cutting off a couple inches with long layers, then i realized id cry waayyy to much.

if you do do it, take carrie's advice and go for it in stages if you will, and not too short.

i may sound like a girl but i know exactly what carrie's talking about, did about the same when i cut my long lusterous locks.

Yeah, but your hair looked pretty at the time. My hair is being... defiant in that area :P

If you're hair needs it, it needs it. Casey's hair was cut short by an evil hair dresser with a deal going on b/c it was all dead/bad on the ends. Mine probably does to...but see the aforemeantioned pansy reaction.

I'm getting a trim tomorrow. But If my hair doesn't heal up in the next few weeks, it's getting chopped off. Luckily, my hair does grow fairly fast (well, not lucky when you have to deal with roots). The irony is that it got uber-damaged when I actually went to a hair salon to get it bleached. It was still in fairly good condition with all the crap I did to it. It's still soft and shiny, but it gets very weak and breaks easily in spots.
