[Hunt #2 | 1666 Nelson St.] Hello, Alice

Aug 08, 2011 15:50

Morning again. The bed was softer than the one King had back at the Nighstalker HQ, the kind you could just melt in to and sleep for hours on end. Even as the sun started to come through the curtains in the room he dreamed of life that wasn't in this Pleasentville town. Hunting vampires, Zoe's laugh, Dex and Hodges playing hoops, Sommerfield ( Read more... )

Rolling over onto her back, Carolyn's eyes slowly opened as she tugged her comforter up over her chest. She paused though, hearing the sound of a shower and quickly sat up. Her eyes widened as she took in a bedroom that was most certainly not her own. Her gaze moved over to empty spot beside her and she reached over, her fingers brushing against the still warm pillow.

Holy crap. She'd apparently gone home with someone the night before. Funny thing? She didn't even remember going out the night before. She must have had so much to drink that she blacked the whole night out... But she didn't feel as though she'd been drinking, aaaaaand she was actually wearing a nightgown. Some frilly lace thing. What the hell ( ... )

Hearing the noise outside of the bathroom, the woman yelling at the top of her lungs or so it would seem, about something not being funny got him to cutting off the water making sure that the suds were gone first. With a towel wrapped around his waist the Hunter slowly moved towards the bathroom door then out glancing in to the room to see who exactly was making the noises. Not the zombie wife, she was probably already downstairs doing her little song and dance in the kitchen with all the little animals from the neighborhood. And it sure as hell wasn't the zombie kids... catching sight of the dark haired woman King give a little frown before opening the door wider to step out. "....so this is what Jordan was talking about. Huh. Well at least someone had the decency to make her pretty."

Probably not the best choice of words for a man dressed only in a towel dripping wet on the tile floor on to the wood floor. "Hey, kitten. Keep it down- you might wake the pod kids down the hall."

Carolyn spun around, her eyes narrowing - not only because she had no idea what was going on, but because she'd just been called kitten. "Wha-" Her mouth snapped shut, her cheeks flushing when she realized that the man talking to her was basically naked - Well in a towl, but basically naked. And she was standing there in a frilly nightgown. Plus he was the man in the picture.

She hastily crossed her arms, feeling very self concious suddenly, but was still visibly ver annoyed. "Pod kids? Seriously. All right. Sleazebag. Really? Who paid you to do this? This is just... disturbing comes to mind. Are you from the base? Because if you are? I'm pretty sure there's some regulation for being a sleazebag who plays practical jokes like this," she uncrossed an arm long enough to motion to the wedding picture.

Yep. Totally new. At least King had a day ahead of her though as she talked he walked past her to the vanity where the new wedding picture was at. Picking it up he studied it carefully thankful he had taken the ring off and left it right beside of the picture the night before. "Yeah, see, this picture was different yesterday when I woke up here too." Carefully he sat it down shifting the towel a little in his other hand to keep it from falling off. But at the end of her list of questions and unvoiced threats the bearded man started to chuckle. "Okay, seriously, I don't know what base you are talking about and no one paid me to do this. And yes pod kids ( ... )
