No, I just don't get it.

We can't do the wisdom thing - We're intrinsically evil and will lure men into evil by feeding them scrumped fruit.

or maybe biscuits... :)

In the meanwhile faith seems to work for some + some people seem to be fine without it - and vice versa!
Perhaps sometimes it's not the faith that's bad - just people.

Had a chat with Em about this, and I don't think it's faith per se that I am angry with.

I think its perhaps more the attitudes of some of the leaders of some of the faiths. If one considers any organisation that doesn't have the sort of influence that the church* has, then if such an organisation tried to push the sort of discrimination that the church pushes, then at best they'd get laughed at and people would consider them odd, stuck up, behind the times or whatever. In some cases they could get grief from the law.
When the churches do it, the gov shuffles about awkwardly and they start to think about exemptions.
I don't get why this is. I don't get why people that are perpertuating the superstitous ideas from 2000 years ago are given this sort of influence.

* I include pretty much all organised religious outfits in here, not just christian ones.
