Woo! I finished NaNoWriMo today, a day early. I did a post about it on
van_writing if you're so inclined to read it there.
I did a
Wordle for all 50,000 words afterward to post, and I realized that I'd never done Wordles for my completed NaNo attempts before. Usually it's something I do around 25-30,000 words as a form of procrastination. XD So, for fun

Second: I did these for my three big things (my NaNo novel, plus the one I finished earlier this year, and my fic novel) and was amused. Taking out the character names was enlightening, too. I apparently overuse "little" to a rather ridiculous degree.

It really is an interesting tool to use to see how you write. You can tell that I used to grossly over use "looked" (see the Took the Sky Wordle), which Wordle showed me and which I've curbed. I can see ways to cut down on "back" and "like" as well, so I plan to do that, as well. I mean, mostly it's just a fun thing to look at, but it's cool it tells me stuff about myself, as well. I also like that you can sort of get an idea of some of the stories if you read all the words. "Water" for instance, has "pueblo" and "colorado" and "river" and "trunk" and things like that, vs. "The Coffee War" which is all ship, crew, city, weird place names, war, sea, sail, etc.
Anywaaaay. WORDS!!!

And I know it's been ages, but congrats! Getting to 50,000 words early has to feel good, much less having something coherent. And hey, I still read Pr fanfic, so no need to feel bad for writing it. Hope all has been good with you!

Also, your descriptions make me want to read all of your original fic, especially Water. Are they at van_writing? I suppose I should go take a look :P

You flatter me with the comments on wanting to read the stuff, hahaha. "Water" isn't posted anywhere, but if you're really interested I could email you it. All of "The Coffee War" is posted to van_writing though, and I believe all of what I wrote for NaNoWriMo on "The Pursuit of Happiness" is posted as well. ("The Coffee War" was edited before being posted, but "PoH" is in the original "vomited forth for NaNo" format, even though I've since edited it and added more to it.) I have the first 8,000 words of "A Place in Time" here. (Though it has also been edited since then ( ... )
