I missed you and was wondering what you were up to...i'm glad that things are good and that you are still floating around in the world of LJ. No picnics this summer, how was the new nurse? Think she'll go back next summer? Or can I? *Mwa*

This is going to sound majorly weird, but believe me it works
my grandmother had the same problem with the end of the lightbulb being stuck in the light fixture. and she got it out very easily
wanna know how?
she cut a potatoe in half, took one half, stuck if over the fixture, and rotated it a couple of times before the other end got stuck in the potatoe.
so you can try that out! wee potatoes are fun.

I was actually going to mention that potato trick. Other than that, needle-nose pliers and some torque.

tried the potato thing. and the TORQUE! both resulted in loose medal bits and potato juice in the fixture. yummy. the electrician finally arrived and fixed it temporarily. apparently the fixture was never connected well in the first place. oh- the joys of old house living.
