My hair was starting to look nice, smooth, shiny and healthy but boring as all get out, I would wear it in a bun, ponytail, or braid to get it out of the way. It felt frumpy and boring.
Front and back
So I went to get it cut.
That photo was from yesterday right after it was cut. I was happy at the time. Today it looks like crap and I am incapable of styling it. The bangs bug me, they are too short. This is a problem that time will fix, but I have a photoshoot on sunday and I can't do a thing about it now. They look exactly the same as the last time I had bangs (that I cut myself), and I didn't like them then either. Too thin, cowlick, and my grey streak is now looking like a major gap. I was hoping to have bangs I could sweep to the side. My hair is thin, I know it. My hair is also fine. But now it doesn't looks shiny or healthy. I will always have to have product in it. I will also have to spend time every day to blowdry or straighten or something just to be suitable for public consumption. I knew that as well. But now it bugs me. I have to learn how to style hair. And I have no idea where to start. I could always get more chopped off. This day after is why I always hate getting my hair done by a professional.
